If you are in crisis

A real human, right now.

Banyan is not therapy, not medical care, and not a crisis service. If you are thinking about ending your life, harming yourself, or harming someone else — please put this tab aside for a moment and reach a trained human now. They want to hear from you.

Small things that help right now

  • If someone is with you, tell them what is happening. You don't have to find the perfect words.
  • If you are alone, do one small grounding act: a glass of water, opening a window, going into another room.
  • Put distance between yourself and anything you could use to hurt yourself.
  • Stay on the phone with the line above until it feels even slightly more bearable.
